St.
Stephen’s Lutheran Preschool and Kindergarten provides
a Christian environment where the knowledge of Jesus and His
love flourish. We provide experiences to |
|
enhance the spiritual, social, physical, emotional
and developmental growth of each child.
We admit
students of all races or ethnic origins to all the rights,
privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or
made available to students at the school. We accept state
subsidized children.
St. Stephen’s
Preschool and Kindergarten has been a successful part of our
community for 37 years. We have a fully qualified director
and faculty of experienced early childhood educators. Our
director, Chris Williams, has 34 years of experience in teaching
and administration in the early childhood field. Chris is
committed to providing a warm, loving environment rich with
Christian care and concern. Our faculty is caring and dedicated
to sharing God’s love with children and their families.
Our staff has been together for over 20 years.

- Interactive
Play - Play is essential in your child’s development.
Play teaches important communication and cooperation skills.
|
- Music
- Children love to express themselves through music and
creative movement. Music is a great way to enhance memory
skills.
|
- Art
- Art activities allow a child to explore and discover,
concentrate, and carry out ideas. Art enhances small motor
development and allows expression of creative feelings.
|
- Readiness
Skills - We present age appropriate skills necessary
to assess a child’s progress for kindergarten readiness.
We provide reading readiness experiences such as recognition
of letters and numbers, visual and auditory discrimination,
counting, colors and shapes, writing their name, letters
and numbers.
|
- Language
Arts - Story time, dramatic play, and sharing with others
enhance a child's vocabulary, creative thinking and imagination.
|
- Spiritual
Growth - We share the joy of Jesus’ love for us
through Christian songs, chapel and Bible stories. Children
also learn patience, kindness, responsibility, and honesty
that come from a foundation in faith.
