Our congregation is named in honor of Saint Stephen, the first Christian to die for his faith in Jesus Christ. (See Acts 7.) Stephen’s unwavering testimony has served as an inspiration and encouragement to generations of believers.

St. Stephen’s is a member of a national association of churches known as the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. The LCMS has approximately 6, 000 churches and 2,000,000 members in the United States.

The LCMS is known for its firm belief in the Bible as God’s inspired Word. The Bible emphasizes God’s grace, His love and forgiveness to all who believe in Jesus Christ as their Savior.
